Ever since the 16th century, two things about this piece of land haven't changed:
people have been farming on it and the name, 'Zeinlach', has always been registered here.
It's been over 50 years since Johann Sr and Gertraud Walch first began entertaining guests.
What started out as a small farmer house then became a youth hostel. As for the place where the old sitting area used to be? It's been replaced by a cosy Zeinlach - originally from the word 'Zeind'l Au' - bar where young and old can meet for a meal or a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.
Some of our biggest moments:
1983 - Major expansion and redevelopment of the Hotel Elisabeth.
1997 - Reconstruction of the restaurant.
2003 - Addition of the new 'Residence' wing of the hotel as well as the wellness area.
2006 - The hotel wing Zeinlach has been renovated.
