In its 60-year long history one thing has never been forgotten at the Elisabeth Hotel: its origin in the Tyrolean region and the rural beginnings of today's hotel. At the same time the hotel has always adjusted to the zeitgeist with the exclusivity and comfort of a spa hotel. The Walch family, who run the hotel with heart and soul in third generation, are able to balance the modern age with old traditions like no other. This combination makes for the feel-good atmosphere here that our guests can both feel and experience.
History of the hotel
Everything started around 60 years ago with the Zeinlach guest house and farm, a building that today is the front part of the hotel. The first guests were welcomed at the youth hostel soon after. During the following years the building saw many rebuilds, renovations and alternations that all made the Elisabeth Hotel the spa hotel what it is today. Because of the outstanding standards and the hotel's philosophy, the Elisabeth Hotel has been awarded with the “4-star superior” title. With around 100 rooms and four and a half stars the spa hotel is one of the region's highest categorised hotels. Today Elisabeth Walch is the junior manager and runs the hotel with her mother Ilse Walch.
Hans Walch jun., son of senior managers Hans and Ilse Walch, has carried out his plans of a sustainable, close-to-nature farm with his own “Kasplatzl” dairy. In the hotel's own dairy, which you are welcomed to visit, and in the smokehouse we produce our own products like milk, cheese, yoghurt and meat. The high-quality ingredients are used by our cuisine team to cunningly create traditional and international dishes and contribute to the indulgence experience at your Elisabeth Holiday Hotel.
