We are two of the first guests to arrive at the breakfast buffet on our winter vacation in Austria. All is still quiet at Hotel Elisabeth, but soon the house will fill with life.

Grandpa has finally got into his snow boots and it's time to go: Three generations set off in search of the best sledging opportunities around Kirchberg-Kitzbühel in winter.

Coffee and good conversations.
Do you remember, back then...?
At the snack buffet we meet old acquaintances. The Hagners are regular guests, just like us. We reminisce about shared memories of our last winter holidays in Austria over coffee and cakes.

Sweat off in the sauna.
From winter wonderland to the sweat of the sauna.
As a contrast to the sledging in the morning, we warm up at the sanarium in the afternoon. The mild 60°C are a real treat. To relax, we go to the loungers by the indoor pool.

Everyone - to the table!
It tastes best when we are together.
There is one thing that only happens once a year: eating without anyone standing at the stove or having to quickly get something from the kitchen. Totally relaxed, we enjoy the service and go over the events of the day.

Bedtime stories.
And then, off to bed!
Grandpa loves to tell the little ones bedtime stories. As his eyelids get heavy, our grandchildren sneak back into the parents' room. And we drift away on soft pillows and dream of the next day in our Austrian snow holidays.
