Hiking tour for sportive guests
This alpine hike up the 1,767m high Gaisberg summit is quite a challenge for your legs: that is why our Elisabeth Hotel hike guide Lisi likes to call this tour “taut-calves-tour”. If you seek activities and love a physical challenge, then this tour is just perfect for you.
High alpine hike up to the Gaisberg summit
The hike starts near your Elisabeth Holiday Hotel in Kirchberg, right at the Gaisberg lift's lower terminus. Take the convenient lift up the mountain and from here you ascent over the Kaiserblick path to the Bärstattalm hut. An alpine trail leads you to the summit cross (1,767m). Once you've passed the Gaisbergjoch ridge, a short but steep descent follows over the Nagillersteig. Pass the Harlassanger chapel and hike back to the Bärstättalm on flat paths. On the last part of the hike you can either choose the Gaisberg lift or walk over back to Kirchberg passing the Alpengasthof Obergaisberg, a nice public house.
Indulgence programme after your avtive day
After a challenging high alpine hike to the Gaisberg summit your exhausted hiking legs truly deserve the recreational programme: how convenient that our massage team is already waiting for you and will revitalise your tired muscles at the Elisabeth Spa. If you like, you can enjoy an infusion in the sauna afterwards or take a swim in the natural swimming pond. Recharge your batteries with a delicious afternoon hiking snack or during a cosy dinner.
