Hiking tours around Kirchberg

The Kitzbühel Alps are calling you

Secluded alpine farms, colourful flower meadows, clear mountain streams, quiet mountain pine forests – the Kitzbühel hiking region offers a wide range of hiking experiences. 1,000 kilometres of well sign-posted hiking paths are available for you, enough for an unforgettable hiking holiday. There are also various hiking tours, too many to mention them all. Here is a selection of the most beautiful tours:

Hiking for the whole family

The younger mountaineers can also enjoy lovely hikes on the Kitzbühel Alps. The main thing is that there is a lot to see and experience. Take a jolly hike with the whole family for instance to the Lake Erlensee, where you can chance your luck with the fishing rod. Another adventure is the “Holzwurmweg” (wood worm) Alpinolino Adventure Path and the “Himmerlsteig”. Start directly at the Alpenrosen cable car mountain station and take a journey through the nature, flora and fauna mountain world of the Alps.

Well equipped for the mountain

If you take a hike you need the right gear. For health and safety reasons don't save money when buying or borrowing the right shoes and gear; hiking is exhausting enough on its own. Our recommendation for carefree hiking experiences:

  • Sturdy, ankle-high mountain shoes (no sports shoes or trainers for challenging tours)
  • Functional hiking clothes
  • Light, comfortable backpack
  • Raincoat
  • Sun crème and sun glasses
  • Enough food
  • Water bottle (1 litre minimum)
  • For winter hikes: telescope hiking poles, gloves, beanie
