Cross-country skiing on winter holidays in Tyrol
Glide on glittery, powdery snow
Enjoy the winter in full slides, straight through glittering picture book landscapes, beyond the bustle of the slopes – cross-country skiing offers a gentle natural experience that harmonises mind, body and soul. While the eye is refreshed by the picturesque panorama, all kinds of muscle groups are trained and the circulatory system is strengthened.
Your thoughts fade into the distance and you become one with yourself and the indescribable winter idyll. 40 kilometres of top-prepared trails alone will have you flocking to Kirchberg, added by 16 kilometres of trails from the Thale in Brixen and in Westendorf.
The Kirchberg Trails
The Aschau trail runs past, not far from our hotel. Glide through the wide Spertental valley, either on the skating route or the classic track. The location at the foot of the Rettenstein crowns your cross-country skiing training with a breathtaking mountain panorama. You can find parking spaces directly at the entry point to the trail.
Its ideal location at a height of 1,300 metres above sea level makes the Brixen cross-country skiing trail attractive with very good snow conditions until the spring. The Brixen cable car brings you up the mountain where you enter the trail. The Brixen high trail is also very popular as a training route.
