Ski tours in snow-covered Kirchberg
Discover untouched nature
Embarking on ski tours is similar to winter hiking in its closeness to nature. The only difference here is that the scenic climb is crowned with a descent through virgin snow. Step by step, you glide through dreamy fairytale landscapes up the mountain, while the nature listens in all its silence.
Whether with radiant sunshine or in the blue shimmer of the full moon – if you been cast under the spell of the Tyrolean mountains, you soon will be. Once at the lodge at the top, you can stock up on energy and your stomach can get its well-earned reinforcement. The best, however, comes at the end: lonely curves through untouched snow. Touché!
Did you know?
The Kitzbühel Alps are home to one of the most beautiful and diverse ski tour regions in Europe. Many tours begin in the wide valleys around the Brixental in Tyrol. From here, you can tackle all kinds of mountains.
Our 4-star Superior Hotel Elisabeth is situated in the middle of the Spertental valley, where popular ski tours lead up the Brechhorn (2,037m) and the Gerstinger Joch (2,035m). Even the Großer Rettenstein, although not a classic tour mountain and difficult to travel on, has already been ascended by skiers.
Firn in spring
The best time for ski tours is moreover spring, when the sun is strong enough and gives the snow, so-called firn snow, more grip. Ask about the official ski tour map and please keep exclusively to the marked entry and slope routes. Still have some questions? We will be happy to help you at the reception.
